The Origin
It started with a frustrating realization: the sleep tech industry is obsessed with the individual, but completely ignores the people who care for them. When you're looking after a loved one whether it's a child, an aging parent, or a partner you desperately need to know how they rested. But the existing solutions just don't work in the real world.
We hated the idea of forcing a wearable onto someone who is already struggling to sleep. Watches need charging, rings get taken off, and headbands are uncomfortable. And cameras? They are invasive in the bedroom.
True peace of mind doesn't come from nightly battles, quite the opposite. We didn't want another gadget to manage; we wanted invisible insight.
That's why we built OZI, a contactless, non-wearable sleep tracker that lives under the sheet, completely out of sight, giving you clarity without disturbing the person you love.

Gary Kellmann is the founder of zPods and OZI Sleep, with more than six years of experience helping families improve sleep, safety, and peace of mind. After supporting over 1,000 families through zPods safety beds, Gary saw a larger need: families wanted a simple way to better understand how their loved ones were actually sleeping.
Gary combines firsthand experience working with families, deep product development knowledge, and a strong focus on practical innovation. His work centers on creating tools that help people feel more informed, more confident, and more connected to the people they care about most.
